The Illiterate Dutchman

This is a little known fact I'm about to tell you. The Lynyrd Skynyrd song "Simple Man" is based on a very dumb man that is only known in folk stories as The Illiterate Dutchman. He doesn't know how to read or write and barely even understands words when you talk to him. Nobody knows who this person is but there is a theory going around that there isn't one illiterate dutchman but many. In fact, some people believe The Illiterate Dutchman is just any Dutchman you see on the streets of the Netherlands.
